Jamie Elliott has ruled Melbourne out of the race for his signature, according to Dees General Manager of Football Josh Mahoney.
It was reported over the weekend that the out of contract Pie was touring the facilities at Brisbane.
"Jamie Elliott won't be playing for Melbourne. He told us over the weekend," Mahoney told reporters.
AFL Media’s Mitch Cleary reported the Lions’ interest in the 27-year-old last week, saying they have a three-year deal in front of him.
Collingwood wants to keep Elliott, but is currently only offering a two-year deal.
He played 16 games for the Pies in 2019, kicking 26 goals and averaging 5.6 marks per game.
