Former Port Adelaide midfielder Kane Cornes believes at least one of Jeremy McGovern or Andrew Gaff will leave West Coast at the end of the year.
Both remain out of contract and will attract big offers that the Eagles might not be able to match.
Reading into what he’s seen, Cornes believes it’ll be incredibly difficult for West Coast to keep both.
“Probably one leaves, history will tell you given it’s Round 13 and neither has signed,” he told SEN’s Crunch Time.
“At least one if not both will be going.”
Cornes said the Dockers are likely leading the race for McGovern.
“They’re saying Fremantle are leading the race for him, but I think he’d love to stay at West Coast,” he said.
“They’re due to land one, the Dockers.”
SEN Senior Broadcaster Gerard Whateley pointed out the troubles being caused by the McGovern family right now, with reports Adelaide’s Mitch wants out of his current contract.
“Aren’t the McGoverns causing heartburn right now,” he said.
West Coast will take on Essendon next Thursday night at Optus Stadium after last night’s loss to Sydney.
