Report: Brownlow Medallist open to a trade

2021-06-08T06:55+10:00

Hawthorn midfielder Tom Mitchell would be open to a trade at the end of the season, if it was mutually beneficial to both parties.

Fox Footy is reporting the contracted on-baller is also happy to finish his career a Hawk, but is willing to be moved on if it suits the club’s rebuilding plans.

Hawthorn has been upfront about their plans to hit the draft hard in 2021 and 2022 before rebounding.

The report goes on to say Mitchell would be “receptive” to a move to reigning premiers Richmond.

The 2018 Brownlow Medallist is contracted until the end of 2023.

He has been his usual prolific self this season, averaging 33 disposals per game.
