Bulldogs best and fairest winner set to re-sign, says McClure

2018-11-20T18:11+11:00

Host of SEN’s Time On Sam McClure is expecting Western Bulldogs midfielder Lachie Hunter to re-sign with the club before the start of the 2019 season.

This comes after Marcus Bontempelli today extended his contract with the club.

“My understanding is that best and fairest winner Lachie Hunter is moving closer and closer to a long-term deal in what I believe will be a five-year contract," McClure told SEN's Time On.

“The money is always harder to work out, but it’s not going to be anything massive in terms of dollars that are thrown around, it’s going to be more in the $600,000 to $700,000 range.

“That would be a great coup for the Western Bulldogs if they were able to lock down two of their young stars.”

Hunter has played 105 games for the Bulldogs, winning their 2018 best and fairest.
