Essendon’s Noah Gown has sustained a serious foot injury at training this week, according to the Herald Sun.
The report suggests that the 194cm forward fractured his foot on Monday and is expected to miss a large portion of this pre-season.
Gown, 19, was struck down with the same injury when playing in the VFL last season and will again be sidelined for a lengthy period.
It is believed that the Bombers are considering surgery for the Gipplsand Power product who was taken with pick 60 in the 2018 AFL Draft.
Gown's issue adds to a growing list of injured Essendon players which includes Dyson Heppell (foot), Michael Hurley (shoulder), Orazio Fanastia (hip), David Zaharakis (foot/ankle), Joe Daniher (groin), Marty Gleeson (ankle) and Matt Guelfi (knee).
