“Look out, we're coming”: Hinkley eyeing premiership in Power’s anniversary year

2020-02-13T07:18+11:00

“Look out, we're coming."

That’s the message from Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley, who made it no secret of his ambition to bring the club a second AFL premiership in its 150th anniversary.

A 10th place finish in 2019 saw the Power miss the finals for a fourth time in five years, but Hinkley is bullish about his side’s hopes heading into 2020.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Hinkley said: "I love this club and I love the history of this club and this club's history is premierships."

"So, that's what we're starting out to try and do. We're going to start this year wanting to win the premiership in our 150th year.

"We're going to do everything we can to do that. To do that, you have to qualify for finals, so look out, we're coming."

Port Adelaide travel to Moreton Bay to face Brisbane in their opening Marsh Community Series match next Sunday.
