Highly-paid Saint open to a move to fourth AFL club

St Kilda’s Bradley Hill is believed to be open to a move to a fourth AFL cub.

According to AFL Media’s Cal Twomey, the former Hawthorn and Fremantle wingman is pondering the possibility of leaving the Saints three years into the five-year deal he signed in 2019.

Hill, who is believed to be on around $900,000 per season at the Saints, could be interested in a potential shift to North Melbourne provided his Hawks premiership coach Alastair Clarkson ends up at Arden Street.

Twomey said it is all possible at this stage, but more will play out in the coming weeks and months.

“He has two years to go on his contract, but my understanding is he’s open to a potential trade which of course would be his fourth AFL club across his career,” Twomey said on SEN Breakfast.

“He’s had three years at the Saints and been shuffled around in different roles. He really hasn’t got going, clearly, to his previous form.

“He has a link with Alastair Clarkson, his three-time premiership coach at Hawthorn. If Clarkson joins North Melbourne, I think Hill could have an interest in also heading there.

“The complication with all of this is the remaining two years on his deal at $900,000 or so a year.

“I think at the moment it’s Bradley Hill who is open to it, but we wait and see how the next month or so evolves.”

Hill, 29, has played 61 games across three seasons with the Saints.

He won a best and fairest with the Dockers in 2017 before leaving the club for St Kilda in 2019 when under contract.
