Ross Lyon has reportedly pulled out of the Carlton coaching race.
The Age’s Caroline Wilson is reporting that Lyon contacted Blues president Luke Sayers to alert him to the decision.
The former St Kilda and Fremantle coach was the heavy favourite for the role, following Alastair Clarkson’s decision not to pursue the job.
Carlton put together its subcommittee to find its next coach on Wednesday night, led by David Parkin.
