Former Port Adelaide midfielder Kane Cornes has labelled one of the most iconic marks of all time “overrated”.
Alex Jesaulenko’s speccy in the 1970 VFL Grand Final has become a part of footy folklore, mainly because of Mike Williamson's iconic “Jesaulenko, you beauty!” commentary that accompanied it.
Cornes however doesn’t think it deserves the status it has received.
"(Jesaulenko's) is an overrated mark," he told the Sunday Footy Show.
"Goddard's mark in the Grand Final is better than Jeusalenko's mark in a Grand Final. It's an okay mark. It's a solid mark, but Jeremy Howe does it every week.

Cornes later tweeted “brilliant commentary of a solid mark but it wouldn’t make the top 50 best marks taken”.
