Collingwood is reportedly considering offering former Adelaide small forward Tyson Stengle an AFL lifeline in next month’s mid-season draft.
The Herald Sun understands the Magpies are “showing renewed interest” in Stengle who impressed for the SANFL against the WAFL in a state game on the weekend.
The 22-year-old stood out with three goals and 21 disposals in Saturday’s match at Adelaide Oval.
One AFL recruiter told The Herald Sun: “He’s the best small forward outside the AFL right now.”
Stengle was delisted in March with a year to run on his Crows contract after a series of off-field incidents, including a drink-driving charge and being caught with illicit drugs.
He initially spent two years at Richmond before moving to Adelaide at the end of 2018.
Collingwood currently holds pick No.3 in this year's mid-season draft.
