Rugby league great Tommy Raudonikis has died, aged 70.
The Wests Magpies legend endured a long battle with cancer.
The former Australian captain was with his partner when he passed away on Wednesday morning at a Gold Coast hospital.
He had fought bad health for an extended period, enduring a quadruple bypass heart surgery and both testicular and throat cancer.
One of rugby league’s most loved characters, Raudonikis played 202 games for the Western Suburbs before playing 37 games for the Newtown Jets.
The halfback also represented New South Wales on 24 occasions and Australia 20 times.
The NRL and Wests Tigers are expected to release a statement this morning.
